Odds and ends

  • AFP: In response to a student’s question, Raul Castro gives a positive assessment of his brother’s health.

Nice link on the article by Gayle McGarrity. Good take. I am a young black male that has travelled to Cuba several times and can definitely identify with what she says.
I have also recently read, and highly recommend the book by Carlos Moore called "Pichon: Race and Revolution in Castro's Cuba"
